"And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

"And Jesus answered him, It is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve."

The End Times Are All About Choosing Whom We Worship
Everyone Will Either Worship the Antichrist or the One True God.
"Take care lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them;"
--- Deuteronomy 11:16

The end times will be a battle of good versus evil for the souls of mankind.

All inhabitants of earth will be divided into one of two camps before the end — those who worship the Antichrist or creation and those who worship the Lord Jesus Christ or creator.
Everyone will have to make a decision whom they will serve and worship.

Of course, throughout history, there has been this battle and people have been choosing whom they worship, but during the end times, it will be more overt and obvious. And it will be the final battle.

In the end times, everyone will be forced to make a decision:
Worship the Antichrist and die the second death or worship Christ and have eternal life.

The choice seems easy, but most will make the wrong decision.
This is because, most people love the "world" not Jesus.
The Bible makes it clear that most will be deceived and take the wide, easy road. (Matthew 7:13-14)

The Antichrist will force people of the earth to worship him.
Those who refuse will be economically isolated and eventually killed.
"And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.
Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name."
--- Revelation 13:15-17

In the garden, Adam and Eve trusted the lies of Satan above obedience to God and they entered into creature worship.
In the last days, this will repeat.

"For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen."

Hour of Decision is Coming
Follow Jesus or Follow the World

As the end times unfold, everyone will be required to make a decision either to follow Jesus Christ or to follow the world system. Everyone, everywhere, will have to make this decision. And most will make the wrong decision and follow the world.

Jesus stated clearly what it means to follow Him.
He said,
"Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. 'I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Your enemies will be right in your own household!'

If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.
If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.

If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it."

To follow Jesus requires surrender and sacrifice.
To truly follow Jesus Christ means He is everything to us; He is our life.
Everyone follows something.
"..choose this day whom you will serve...
But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
--- Joshua 24:15

God states we are to have no other gods before Him.
(Exodus 20:3; Deuteronomy 5:7; Mark 12:30).

Jesus said, "And he said to all, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.'" --- Luke 9:23

To truly follow Christ means we do not follow anything else.

"Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living."

"Jesus replied, 'Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.'" --- John 14:23 NIV
